When I got an inquiry from Maria to come and be their wedding videographer, I was extremely happy not only because it should be my first wedding in Catalunya. I was basically amazed how Maria and Guillem are thinking about their wedding. “We want to have a really warm and simple event in a smart casual style. Our guests will participate in organisation of the wedding as well. In a way, our wedding is more spontaneous and easy going, we want to break some routines in terms of how it is usually done. We will have guests from all over the world (Siberia, Colombia, Catalonia, Kazakistan, Italy, South Korea) and the funny part that there is no common language that all people speak. I’m Russian, Guillem is Catalan. We have a great sense of humor (at least we think that). Between each other we speak english. We like to experiment and go out of standards.”

They definitely went out of standards and made their wedding totally free of someone’s ideas, cliche or the way how the society looks at the weddings. Mainly how we – let’s say professionals from the wedding business – are desperate for a super cool weddings with a lot of decorations, a cool boho or whatever locations with heartbreaking views ideally to the sea or with huge mountains behind and many more, what we consider as an ideal wedding for our portfolios. Maria, Guillem and their friends confirmed my inner feeling that the real love, the true smiles and the fellowship is what is it all about. You don’t have to rent a special wedding venue, have all the latest trendy decorations and try to be featured at some wedding blog after that. You can be simply yourself and enjoy your wedding day in the most natural way, what is the closest to your hearts.
I am very happy I could be part of such an intimate wedding in Catalunya and feel extremely grateful to be there as the only one wedding supplier who they have chosen and decided to spend money on. I felt like one of their close friends, who showed to Maria and Guillem how deep they are in their hearts. Even though there was no common language, the strong friendship was very obvious.
